The hotel is situated in Manchester city centre, five minutes from the train station and 2 minutes from the coach station. All of the medium size rooms have en-suite Bathroom and full facilities. The decor is in fair condition, if not a little dated. As the hotel is old - the rooms vary in size from quite small to very large. Triple rooms are either a double or twin room with an extra bed (not 3 single beds).
There are three restaurants; Crompton's which serves French cuisine, Jenny's which offers traditional English fare, and a pizzeria serving Italian cuisine. The hotel also has an extensive bar. This traditional building dates back from 1857. The small lobby and public areas still retain some of the original architectural structure, like the sweeping staircase.
