The rooms vary in size but are generally medium sized and are kept in very good condition, the bathrooms are in good condition. Rooms have elegant decor with full facilities. All 195 of the hotel’s en-suite bedrooms, many with views of Edinburgh Castle or the Firth of Forth, have been furnished to a comfortable four star standard.
The hotel offers a variety of cuisine; a wonderful buffet style restaurant to the rear of a lobby, in what can only be described as a quite stunning luxurious setting. There is also an exclusive a la carte restaurant serving Scottish specialties to the left of the entrance.
This grade II listed building with its distinctive fa?ade was designed over two hundred years ago and although undergoing much refurbishment many of the original architectural details have been carefully retained. The lobby is medium in size with tiled floors and seating area. It has a luxurious feel due to the marble and crystal chandeliers.
