This hotel is located on the main road from the airport to the city centre, within 2 minutes walk of Murrayfield stadium, the home of Scottish rugby. The city centre can be reached by car in 5 minutes and the airport is just a 10 minute drive.
Rooms vary in size from medium to large, as this is an extremely old building, but it retains a wonderful warm and relaxed atmosphere. All rooms are in good condition and are furnished with traditional fittings. Tea and coffee is provided in all rooms. 10 extra rooms can be found in the Lodge - 2 buildings down from the Murrayfield Hotel and with a superior standard of room.
The restaurant is on the ground floor there is a very traditional bar with a quite charming atmosphere, which also serves bar food. Weather permitting there is also some outdoor seating. This is a traditional Victorian house with large windows and an impressive facade. The lobby is only small in size and extremely traditional in design. The small reception is directly in front of the main entrance. The lobby is cosy and welcoming.
