This hotel is situated in the heart of the medieval old town, in the historical Grassmarket, and in the shadow of the Castle. Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace, and numerous other historical places are all a leisurely stroll from the hotel. A great location!
The bedrooms are decorated in light modern colours and are welcoming. All are ensuite and offer full facilities and are in fair condition. The hotel offers only breakfast in a cosy breakfast room. The hotel is traditional in appearance standing on the corner of the Grassmarket, with cobbled streets and charming surroundings. The lobby area is very small, with a small reception desk.
The hotel offers an ideal location to explore Edinburgh and is excellent value for money. Please be aware that the hotel can suffer from noise, particularly over weekends, due to Biddy Mulligans Bar beneath the hotel. ALSO NOTE: From the 03rd April the local water company will be carrying out some works on the street outside the hotel, resulting in some traffic disruption and occasional problems with the water supply.
