The Great Barr is ideally located for Birmingham and the midlands, Literally 5 minutes drive from the M6 Jnc 7. Much easier than driving through the city centre. Leave @ Junction 7 -M6 Motorway, follow A34 towards Birmingham, at Scott Arms junction turn right onto Newton Road for approx. 1 1/4 miles then take the right filter lane just past Malt Shovel Public House to Pear Tree Drive.
The rooms are of a very good standard, they are traditionally decorated and in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Bathrooms are clean and well designed and are mostly white tiled. The restaurant is situated at the back of the hotel next to the popular bar area. It serves a mix of cuisine including some local favourites and European dishes. The hotel serves an excellent full breakfast.
The exterior of the Hotel is quite modern, it is low rise and is situated in a leafy green suburb of Birmingham. The lobby is medium sized and welcoming. It has some seating and a coffee and snack area. Coffee water and juice are available throughout the day.
This modern hotel is situated in attractive grounds about 5 miles from the centre of Birmingham. Due to its easy access to the city centre and distance from the M6 this is a great alternative to a city centre property. Highly recommended.
